rWorld 2014: An Introduction to Relational Thinking (February 8, 2014)
Human flourishing depends on the quality of human and institutional relationships. The success of our work, politics, law, community and family life requires that we understand the relationships upon which they are based and equip ourselves to prioritize and manage them well. The rapid changes taking place in society, many driven by technology, make this increasingly challenging.
In this practical workshop we’ll introduce you to a perspective on the world, Relational Thinking, and a framework of analysis, Relational Proximity®. After introducing these two, and taking a look at the broader global context, we’ll lead discussions in small groups to apply the thinking to specific contexts defined by the group. The outcome for you will be language and tools to help you better understand your relational context (in work or personal life) and take action to prioritize and improve them.
